Home internet
Your home internet can pay for itself.
You already pay for a line every month, and most of the day it sits idle. With Kibuti, neighbours, students and passers-by can buy time on a separate WiFi, and the money comes to you.
Who it suits
Homes with a good line and people nearby.
Busy neighbourhoods
Flats, compounds and streets where neighbours run out of bundles every week.
Near colleges and hostels
Students need cheap, steady internet for study, every day.
Home with a shop front
A kiosk or duka at the gate turns the same line into a second income.
How it works at home
Two WiFi names. One for you, one that earns.
- 01
Kibuti adds an access point to your router, with its own WiFi name for customers.
- 02
Your family keeps using your own WiFi exactly as before.
- 03
Each customer gets a speed limit, so your line is never taken over.
- 04
Customers pay with mobile money; earnings collect in your Kibuti wallet.
What you need
- A steady line of at least 10 Mbps. Test it now.
- A free cable port on your router, and power.
- A window or wall facing where people are.
- A plan from your provider that allows sharing.
Some home internet plans do not allow sharing or reselling. Check your plan with your provider before you apply; Kibuti will ask you to confirm it.
